Interrecruit Open Under-20: Sadietou Mayou’s vision and the goal of the tournament according to Alphonse Gandonou

The Interrecruit Open Under-20 tournament was officially launched on the morning of Tuesday, July 16, 2024 by Master Thierno OLORY-TOGBE, at the Benin Tennis Club. Initiative of the NGO Play Your Game and the InterRecruit Foundation in partnership with the Beninese Tennis Federation is a unique opportunity for young Africans to obtain scholarships (Sport – Study) in the United States. Four countries in particular: Burkina Faso, Togo, Nigeria, and Benin are taking part in the Tournament with nearly 100 players competing (girls and boys). Returning to the project, Alphonse Gandonou, representative of the Interrecruit Foundation, informed the various tennis players that thanks to this tournament, they will now have a presence in the American ranking (UTR). The best tennis players at the end of this tournament will be future scholarship holders of the Interrecruit Foundation. “We thank President Sadietou Mayou who believed in us and who above all decided to offer this opportunity to young Africans,” said the Baobab of Beninese Tennis, Gandonou. Presentation of InterRecuit According to Maman Tennis Africa, Mayou Sadietou, InterRecruit is a non-profit organization that aims to help underprivileged athletes receive an affordable university education through sports scholarships. The sports covered are Tennis, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Track and Field and Cross Country. We donate new or used sports equipment and provide financial support to those in need. InterRecuit Fights against clandestinity and social balance and promotes the development of Africa with better-supervised executives InterRecruit’s mission is to raise awareness about the importance of affordable education through athletic talent, which does not exist in Africa. Having this opportunity to educate oneself using athletic abilities is a blessing and contributes to the development of our society in Africa. Education can be expensive and most children have to drop out of school if their parents cannot afford it. For girls, getting married at a young age and dropping out of school is very common. InterRecruit wants to break this chain and provide opportunities to these poor children who are blessed with athletic talent but cannot afford their education. Granting a scholarship to a child in Africa affects their entire community because he/she shows others that there is hope for success, the President of the InterRecuit Foundation told VoyageATL in an interview. The tournament in Benin will end on Saturday, July 20, 2024.
